Globalization has brought about significant improvements in operating an organization and how the organization manage their human resources. Human Resource Management (HRM) practices are affected by globalization in various ways and has resulted the need to adapt their policies and procedures to fulfil the needs of a diverse of workforce with different laws and regulations for organizations depending on different organizational structures.

 







1.       Cultural Diversity

One of the significant influences of globalization on HRM is the cultural diversity. Globalization has led to an increase in cultural diversity in the organization. This has affected HRM practices to adapt to fulfil the needs of their workforce. This includes implementing policies to promote diversity, as well as training programs to enhance cross-cultural communication skills and lifestyles. In today's globalized world, companies have workforce from different cultural backgrounds, and this diversity has become an asset. A diverse workforce brings a range of viewpoints and experiences, which can help organizations to innovate, solve problems, and create new products and services that meet the needs of a global customer base.

 

2.      Talent Management

Globalization has created new opportunities for talent acquisition. This helps organizations to access to a larger pool of candidates from different parts of the world. HRM through effective recruitment strategies. Since the competition for talented workforce is very higher, the organizations must attract and keep the best employees to achieve success. In addition to recruitment, HRM practices must also focus on employee retaining strategies by providing opportunities for career advancement, offering competitive rewards and benefits packages, and creating a healthy work environment.

 

3.      Training & Development

With globalization, employees are increasingly required to work in cross-cultural teams. Therefore, HRM strategies must provide suitable training and development opportunities to facilitate this. This includes developing cross-cultural training programs to enhance employees' ability to work effectively in diverse teams. Training and development also play a critical role in employee retention by providing employees with opportunities for career advancement and skill development. Therefore, organizations must invest in training and development programs that fulfil the needs of a diverse workforce and support the strategic objectives of the organization.

 




In conclusion, HRM must adapt to the globalization strategies to fulfil the needs of a diverse workforce. HRM practices must also consider about cultural diversity, talent management, training and development and many other to attract and retain top talent in today's globalized world.
