Planning for Organizational Success: An Overview
The primary goal of HR
planning is to boost its workforce productivity and performance. It is an important component of
organizational success because it enables companies to effectively assess the
current workforce, identify future needs, and develop strategies to meet those
needs. (Kenton, W.).
In this blog post, we will
explore the importance of human resource planning and how it can impact an
organization's success.
01. Forecasting future workforce needs.
An ideal HR planning
forecast the workforce needs by considering current and future trends in the
industry, retirement rates and turnovers. This will help the organization to identify
the possible staff shortages or surpasses. Also, to develop strategies like
staff recruitment, training or outsourcing functions to overcome them.
02. Improve employee’s productivity.
Effective human resource
planning can also help maximize employee productivity. This includes organizing
training programs to develop both technical and soft skills of staff, creating
a positive work environment, and providing staff with the resources they need
to do their jobs effectively. By maximizing employee productivity, companies
can increase efficiency and ensure that the right people are in the right positions
to achieve success.
03. Ensuring obedience with labour laws and regulations.
Human resource planning also
plays a critical role in ensuring agreement with labor laws and regulations to
avoid legal issues and disagreements among staff. This includes laws and
regulations related to equal employment opportunity, minimum wage, overtime,
and workplace safety.
